Zlatan Ibrahimovic Is Not A Barcelona Player Yet

The transfer saga concerning Inter’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Barcelona’s Samuel Eto’o is finally nearing an end, following the news that the latter has agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri.

The Ibrahimovic half of the deal also seems set to be resolved in the next 24 hours, as he has departed the Inter training camp in the United States for Europe to finalise the move.

The agent of the Swedish superstar, Mino Raiola, has indicated that the deal is far from settled though, as the particulars of the deal are yet to be properly discussed.

“I am yet to speak to Barcelona about any of the finer details, as my task is to work to ensure my client Ibra is satisfied,” Raiola explained to Sky.

“Everything began at the end of the championship, especially when the two presidents, [Massimo] Moratti and [Juan] Laporta, had dinner together.

“As for Eto’o, Barcelona were always going to make a move for Ibra, even if the Cameroonian wasn’t included in the deal.

“I always thought they were two separate negotiations and Laporta has recently confirmed this.”

The reports from Sky go on to suggest that Ibrahimovic’s move to Spain will become official in the next few days, and that he will be unveiled as a Barca player on Monday.
